Swiss Learning Hub

We are delighted to announce that our SwissPOD Training project has been awarded the prestigious eLearning AWARD 2026 in the category “eLearning Innovation – Focus on Knowledge Standardisation“. The award-winning solution: SwissPOD Training, developed in collaboration with Swisstransplant, a digital learning programme for the standardisation of medical data collection for organ and tissue donations throughout Switzerland.

Project objective

The aim of the project was to develop a modern, flexible and high-quality training solution that appeals to all user groups of the SwissPOD software, from new to experienced medical professionals. The training ensures that data collection in Swiss hospitals is uniform, accurate and traceable throughout Switzerland. This not only supports the daily work of professionals, but also improves the long-term quality and comparability of donor statistics.

Implementation

The content was designed in collaboration with Swisstransplant and implemented didactically and technically by Swiss Learning Hub. The result is a bilingual (German and French), modular e-learning programme with screen recordings, interactive flip cards, avatar videos and clear learning objectives. The training explains procedures step by step, highlights typical stumbling blocks and promotes a uniform understanding of data collection methods and processes.

Significance & impact

Before the SwissPOD e-learning programme was created, new medical professionals were mainly trained through manuals or peer learning. This led to discrepancies in documentation. The new SwissPOD training programme remedies this situation and enables standardised, traceable and high-quality data collection.
The eLearning AWARD 2026 shows that digital training can contribute effectively and sustainably to quality improvement, even in highly sensitive medical areas. We would like to express our special thanks to Swisstransplant: the close cooperation not only gave the training technical depth, but also created tangible added value for practice.
