The curriculum of the educational programs stored in Evento is also used in the preparation of the new semesters:
- The range of modules and the number of parallel courses are determined based on the number of students.
- Room and lecturer allocations can be taken over from the past or newly generated with Evento Planner.
- There are several ways in which students can efficiently register for their courses.

An easy start to your studies
From registration to enrollment: Evento’s extremely flexible admission and admissions procedure ensures that all administrative processes are handled seamlessly.
The admission procedures for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs as well as for MAS, DAS or CAS continuing education courses are complex processes.
The universities can provide any number of complex registration processes with dynamic input forms in Evento – including credit card payment if desired.
If necessary, dates for aptitude tests including registration options can also be integrated.

Structured course of study
Whether module booking, credit recognition, leave of absence, grade entry or certificate creation – Evento accompanies the entire study path and keeps everything transparent and efficient in view.
Evento offers all functions for everyday university life. Here is a selection of them:

Smooth conclusion
From dropping out, expulsion or successful graduation to the creation of de-registration documents – Evento ensures that the exit is just as professional as the entry.
Evento generates the required confirmations, certificates, diplomas and processes exmatriculations.
The diploma supplement required by the Bologna System can also be generated or certificate and grade rankings can be carried out.
Students can report the discontinuation of their studies online and specify whether they wish to discontinue immediately or at the end of the semester and which examinations they still wish to take.

The five modules

Information screens
Information screens can be connected to Evento in different ways. On the one hand, a standardized interface to the Displaystar solution is available, which allows direct integration of event data. This option is particularly suitable for institutions that want to rely on a proven and supported solution.
On the other hand, several customers have successfully connected their own systems – mostly via read access to the Evento database. This allows individual display formats and logics to be implemented that are precisely tailored to the respective requirements on site. Both variants enable an automated, up-to-date and reliable display of event information on digital screens.

Interfaces
Evento offers various options for importing and exporting data. These include
- REST API for communication with applications
- SOAP web service for connecting external systems
- Standard interfaces e.g. to Escada and Moodle
- Reports (Crystal or MS Office)
- Export data from list views to Excel with one click
Evento is also based on an MS SQL database. Our customers have read and write access to this database, so many of our customers implement their own interfaces.
Navision can be connected with a file-based CSV interface.
Reporting

The reporting tool in Evento offers a user-friendly way of analyzing and displaying event data in a targeted manner. Using predefined or customizable templates, you can create reports in various formats – including Cristal Reports, Excel, Word, XML and Mail.
Whether participant lists, course overviews or financial data: The reports can be filtered, exported and processed as required. In this way, the reporting system supports efficient planning, documentation and quality assurance of your training courses.
Authorization concept
Rights
In all Evento modules, rights, together with roles and object protection, are the instruments for controlling access to objects and functionalities.
Roles
Rights can be combined into roles. You can create these according to your individual needs, for example based on the organization or activities.
Object protection
Various objects in Evento support so-called object protection. This can be set for an individual object,
- which organizational unit owns the object
- and which functions users from other organizational units can use with this object.

Models for identification and authorization
Evento login
User administration takes place exclusively within the database. The user name and password are compared with the corresponding entries in the database after login.
LDAP/Active Directory integration
User administration takes place outside of Evento, usually under Active Directory (AD). Users are authorized to access Evento applications and data by assigning them to predefined AD user groups.
Login via federated authentication
User administration takes place outside Evento, typically in systems such as Microsoft Azure AD or SWITCH edu-ID. Users are automatically created in Evento on first access according to customizable rules.
