Media Release: Swiss EdTech sector: Takeover through management buy-out at Swiss Learning Hub Ltd.

After the successful self-positioning in 2020, the next step is now being taken with a management buy-out: together with Swiss investors, the long-standing management is taking over the majority of the company from the CREALOGIX Group.

The EdTech company with its products is already the Swiss market leader in vocational education and training as well as in company-based and tertiary education. Its core business is the provision and further development of its established software platforms, including the development of digital learning solutions for vocational education and training.
This step paves the way for further national and international growth. Together with the Swiss investor group blue8 AG, the current management is taking over the majority of 67% of the shares; one third will remain with the CREALOGIX Group for the time being. The takeover will be retroactive to August 1, 2022.

Platform Swiss Learning Hub
Numerous associations, universities and companies already rely on the modular platform of Swiss Learning Hub AG for digital education and for the management of education providers. “The EdTech market will continue to grow at a 2-digit rate over the next few years, and our leading position in vocational education and training is a solid basis for the next growth step,” says CEO Urs Widmer with conviction. “In addition to organic growth, we also plan to acquire companies that support the successful implementation of our strategy.”

Lifelong Learning
The changes in the world of work, which are driven by digitalisation, require upskilling and reskilling of people: On the one hand, new demands are being placed on existing professions, which require upskilling, and on the other hand, established professions are disappearing at high speed, which require people to be reskilled. In order to keep up with these rapid changes in the labour market, lifelong learning is becoming increasingly important. With its platform Swiss Learning Hub, organisations and companies see themselves excellently equipped to successfully support people in this process.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. For more information on the company and its products and services, please visit our website at www.swisslearninghub.com.
